Hermione Hen has laid her first egg, which weighs 36 grammes. Progress!She was strutting around this morning looking as if something momentous was going to happen. She disappeared into the Eglu for half an hour and then wandered out, leaving this little egg behind.

ReplyDeleteAlways a gentleman! Might have known. Are you going to hard, soft boil, or scramble it (them? I broke open a double yoker (4 times the size of your pullet egg) the other day and ate both of them myself. Those were the first eggs I have eaten in over a year (cholesterol prob.). I decided to scoff them when I realized Duane doesn't recognize eggs unless they are in the shell and that I may have rotten egg smell if I left them up front and center in the fridge any longer. ReplyDeleteMethinks you is away and me 'tother comment hasn't been 'profed yet. If you are home you are probably sitting watching the hen coop - if so you are a prime eggsample of counting your eggs before they're laid. Just a yoke! Ellen
