Becoming a 'private' blog? Views please

Just a forewarning - I may make this blog 'private' soon, so that it can only be accessed by people who request access and to whom I then give permission. If you have a view on this, please leave a comment. It would mean you would have to log in rather than just access the blog directly. Would that bother you?

  1. No it does not bother me. But what is the point? You might as well just keep a text diary. The whole point of a blog is to share and air your views and opinions, and what you ahve been up to. Who are you hiding from?!

  2. Also how will that affect those of us who read your blog via RSS feeds in other applications?

  3. I would still share my news and opinions, but only with those who have permission to read them. I have no idea how it would impact on RSS feeds, though. You are an ICT wizz, you tell me.

  4. And what about those for whom this is the highlight of their day?

  5. Are you one of those? I can still give such kind people permission to look, if they ask. I have not made any decision to change things yet.

  6. I guess that 'anonymous' comments would not be needed though, if this were private. You understand the need for privacy sometimes, clearly.

  7. This is anonymous #1 checking in on this privacy subject. I'm being a mother hen but would it take more than two clicks? (I said clicks not chicks). If so methinks it will require more thought for me to answer. Do I have to give my social security number? Oh dear! If you are going private maybe I'd better let you have your privacy. If I am willing to lose my privacy and sign-on I'll let you know.
